Founded in 2021 by Rhiannon "Nikki" McFarling, Positive Difference Organization is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit in Florida. It collaborates with The Angelus to host events and has a website and social media presence to promote its mission. Our Founder, President & Executive Director

Rhiannon "Nikki" McFarling's formative years were marked by community involvement and a passion for helping others. From volunteering in her youth to joining the Army Reserves, she actively engaged in her local community. Her dedication to service and volunteerism continued as she moved to different cities, where she pursued various roles in nonprofit organizations and federal employment. Throughout her journey, Rhiannon remained committed to personal growth and exploration. She pursued education in child development and music, and her entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch The UnDead Prom and Murder Mystery project. Her multifaceted experiences have shaped her into a resourceful and driven individual with a strong sense of community and a desire to make a positive impact

History & Background

Rhiannon Mcfarling established Birthday Fundraiser Inc. to commemorate her daughter Alexandria's birth and promote kindness. Inspired by Alexandria, Rhiannon aims to promote positivity and encouraging others to look for ways to help each other. Initially operating as a community event, Birthday Fundraiser Inc. evolved into a registered nonprofit in 2021. Through a partnership with The Angelus, the organization hosts free community events. The organization's mission has expanded to include a fictitious name, Positive Difference Organization, and a website to better reflect its mission. In 2024, Positive Difference Markers was launched as a monthly meetup group for young children and their families. The group offers free activities, such as guest speakers, story readings, and art projects, providing a valuable resource for families seeking affordable evening entertainment.

Organizational Structure

Founded in 2021 by Rhiannon “Nikki” Mcfarling who completed the research & paperwork to legally form Birthday Fundraiser Inc as a nonprofit corporation in the state of Florida
Lauren Dunayer and Elizabeth Garcia were the first two individuals to join the board of directors with Lauren taking on the role of Secretary and Elizabeth the role of Treasurer
In 2022 a partnership was formed between Birthday Fundraiser Inc and The Angelus. The partnership allows Birthday Fundraiser Inc to produce free community events on the 17 acres of land owned by The Angelus and produce events under their liability insurance
In July 2022, a fictitious business name was filed to have Birthday Fundraiser Inc known as Positive Difference Organization
In October 2022, Elizabeth Garcia resigned as Treasurer and Heather Mendaros was voted to the position of Treasurer of Birthday Fundraiser Inc
In February 2024, a new nonprofit activity was launched as a monthly meetup for kids 6 years old and younger along with their siblings. The event scheduled for the third Thursday of each month is made available through use of the public library
